John Bresnan
DipFA MLIBF CeMapStarted his career as a Financial Adviser in 1985 now specialising in Pension and Investment advice. Together with long-time friend and colleague Paul Towers-Evans, John founded JPA Financial Services Ltd in 2009. The goal was simple: to develop an Independent Financial Adviser company to provide quality yet affordable financial advice for everyone.
When not at work John enjoys holidays in Cornwall and watching musical theatre with his wife.
Paul Towers-Evans
DipFA MLIBFIn 1976 Paul began work in financial services starting at Lloyds Bank before moving to insurance and investments with Prudential. His experiences have been invaluable when providing solutions and strategies to his clients in order to provide a secure financial future. Paul has also successfully mediated many compensation claims for grateful clients although this is not his core business activity.
When not at work Paul enjoys clay shooting and cooking.
Nicholas Lue
DipFA MLIBF CeMapNik has worked in financial services since 2002 and during this time has worked with both private and commercial clients.
For over a decade he has advised clients on pension and investment matters, working in a bank for 7 years before finally becoming an independent financial adviser in 2015.
Nik believes in regular and clear communication and taking a holistic view about financial planning. He believes this is the key to successful relationships with clients.
When not at work Nik spends much of his spare time playing golf or watching football – either watching his local team, or his sons under 14’s team who play in the Stourbridge league.
Scott Saxby
DipFA MLIBFScott qualified as a Financial Adviser in 2001. He enjoys working with people and helping them achieve their financial goals. He is proud to have built long standing relationships with many clients from young professionals starting out in their careers to those needing advice at retirement and beyond. Many of these clients continue to put their trust in him, which is the most pleasing part of his work.
Some aspects of financial planning can be quite complex therefore Scott prides himself on having a straightforward and friendly approach, taking the time to listen and understand clients’ needs to achieve the best outcomes for them.
When not at work Scott enjoys spending time with his family and supporting a local Premiership team…because he can’t play for them.
Scott Stackhouse
DipFA MLIBFFor over two decades Scott has dedicated himself to helping people gain a full understanding of their financial situation. He is a firm believer in creating detailed plans of how to deliver the financial futures clients want and by working closely with them he can help them achieve their life's goals and aspirations. He believes the most precious asset we have as human beings is time. By helping clients truly understand what their aims and objectives are and their fears and concerns, he can really help them to align their finances with how they would like to spend their time and address what matters most to them and their families.
After all, successful financial planning is about the client and not the product!
When not at work Scott’s pastimes are music, mountain walking and football where he manages his sons’ football under nines football team.
Ravi Thind
DipFA MLIBF CeMapRavi started his career in the Banking Industry. He realised he could offer a far more personalised service working as an independent advisor. This allows him the freedom to be flexible and adaptable in serving the best interests of all his clients.
His professional experience and passion have allowed him to prosper in this highly challenging industry where he has used his integrity to build long lasting relationships.
Ravi’s specialty is asking the right questions, then listening to what is most vital to JPA clients and their families.
When not at work Ravi enjoys playing squash and helping his children become humble responsible adults.
Edward Holmes
LL.B.(Hons) DipFA CeMAP MLIBF AIPWEdward began his career in the legal profession. After 15 years he made the transition to Financial Services in 2016. Having trained in wealth management and holistic financial planning he qualified as an Independent Financial Adviser in 2018 and joined JPA in 2022.
Edward’s philosophy is one of clear communication and straightforward language. He understands that financial matters can be complex and intimidating to people unfamiliar with the technical terminology. He aims to guide his clients through the financial planning process from beginning to end, maintaining a lifelong relationship with the people he advises.
Edward remains a qualified solicitor and is also able to advise on the legal aspects of financial planning, including wills, Powers of Attorney, trusts and Probate.
Edward is married to Alison and they live in Worcestershire with their two children. He is a keen amateur musician, playing euphonium and trombone with various local bands and orchestras. He has served as the assistant conductor of Tenbury Town Band since 2007. He is an enthusiastic, if less than skilled, cricketer and has played for the Worcester Lawyers Cricket Club, including taking part in their tours to Germany and Wales. More recently, he has taken up coaching youth football with his son’s team.
Ashvin Patel
DipFA MLIBF CeMapAshvin started his career as a Financial Adviser in 1981. His decades of experience working with variety of clients, from individuals to businesses, and helped them achieve their financial goals. He is knowledgeable in a variety of financial topics, specialising in investment, retirement and tax planning.
He understands every client is different with unique circumstances and the importance of relationship-based listening skills, that help clients uncover their most fulfilling aspirations, so financial strategies can most efficiently support the lives they long to live.
When not at work Ashvin enjoys spending time with his family and leads environmentally friendly community farm, Ahimsa West Midlands amongst other community work.
Antony Baker
DipPFSAntony started working in the financial services industry in 1977. He is extremely proud that his clients trust him to advise them throughout their lives with regard to Pension planning, Investments and Inheritance Tax planning.
His aim is to help his clients achieve their goals in life in a straightforward, jargon free way.
He prides himself on clear and simple communication, why make it complicated? When not at work Antony enjoys playing lots of tennis, some golf and time with family.
Erin Maher
Available Monday - Friday: 9am to 4pmAt the age of sixteen, Erin began performing part-time administrative work for JPA. She started expressing interest in becoming a financial adviser around this time. She has now officially joined the company and commenced her training to become a newly qualified Financial Adviser. She can't wait to meet and work with JPA clients as she embarks on her new career. She is currently serving as a liaison officer for the organization. She is eager to raise the profile of women in the field and plans to contribute her energy and diligent nature to the position.
Erin has competed at regional level in swimming and has just finished a half marathon to raise money for an Alzheimer's charity.
